Ode to 08

Alas, I have awoken from my blogging slumber...

So my excuse for this long absence has been my crazy crazy schedule and commitments that have pretty much kept me going for these few months... blogging happens when your naturally bored with no obligations and free time and where your thoughts start to wander to blog-worthy topics (such as now)

But this is probably the last post of the year for me... with xmas celebrations going on and such. But to truly reflect on this year, probably the best year of my life so far. Between turning 19, to joining my fraternity, to meeting new people and experiencing new things... its definitely the year of new things. And having done all the college extrapolates how these memories will be fondly kept and returned to for the rest of my life. There will no doubt, be a million crazy stories from this year.

My highlights of 08
- Becoming a Delt, and sharing it with my kick ass pledge class
- Getting my own place... with my own bed, and desk... and experiencing toilet plunging
- Finaly deciding my career goals... med school oh ya
- Making Shrimp Fra Diovolo and Penne Bolognaise that came out really good
- Reconnecting with the ol' gang and having an awesome summer of '08 (and spending some meaningful family time)
- Becoming one of those involved freaks... Housing OA, Source OA, Club Tennis, Ski team, Research, SAC, Adopt-a-school, delt stuff....
- the 100+ parties this year.... and beasting it at cocaine (the drinking game.. not the drug)
- Going to new york for spring break
- More?

And i just recalled that it was a rough start to 08 when i feel alseep through the countdown alone in my dorm room......

A look forwards to 09. I hope for stronger friendships, more awesome stories and hangs, maybe some new gadjets, contuining my 4.0 quarter and perhaps... just perhaps...a non-lonely valentines... |
