Transformers was my favorite summer movie last year, this year, even though i've only watched a few, i know it will hands down go to The Dark Knight. It is probably, the most disturbing, ambitious, thought-provoking and enthralling piece I've watched in years and definitely one of my favorite movies of all time. It left me speechless at the end as well as during parts of its plots where surprises are thrown at us time after time. It was 2 hours and 30 mins of an emotional rollarcoaster and it was never ever predicatble or cliche and was captivating throughout. Christian Bale is thus far my favorite Batman and his portrayal is subtally genius. However, this movie was compltely owned by Heath ledger. Reading that he spent a month in a hotel room alone pefecting the entire stance, mannerism and speech of the Joker is just amazing and shows you his dedication. Noone will be able to perfect the Joker like he did in the movie; he was fightening, distrubing, relatable, hilarious all at the same time yet funnily, never despised.
Hands down, the best movie I've seen in years and one of my favorite movies ever.
